Determinación del área de inundación y el tiempo de retardo de embalses de la provincia Granma y posibles afectaciones

Abstract

El presente trabajo está encaminado al estudio del movimiento del agua en el tiempo por un cauce ya sea natural o no, es decir al cálculo del tiempo de retardo y el área de inundación por vertimiento máximos de embalses o rotura del dique, para ello se utilizaron diversas bibliografías de autores que han aportado sobre el tema, donde el tiempo de retardo se calculó finalmente por la fórmula de Alexeev. Se determinó el área de inundación en lo cual se hacen varias aclaraciones específicas de la provincia. El tiempo de retardo en cuencas pequeñas como las nuestras y de pendiente fuerte puede igualarse al tiempo de concentración, en ocasiones se toma 0.6 veces.
