Elementos de manejo integrado en la calidad de las aguas del Río Yarayó

Abstract

Esta investigación se realiza en la cuenca hidrográfica Yarayó, donde existen conflictos en el uso sostenible y protección de sus recursos; la misma tiene como objetivo aplicar elementos de manejo integrado en la calidad del agua del río Yarayó, se utilizan como métodos de investigación el histórico-lógico, inducción-deducción y análisis-síntesis, con la ayuda de herramientas como matriz de Leopold y entrevistas. Dentro de los resultados fundamentales se obtuvo que en la zona existen 17 focos contaminantes siendo los más incidentes los talleres de la zona, la cervecera Hatuey, Cuba Ron y los hospitales que tributan al río. La matriz arrojo que los principales problemas ambientales son las afectaciones en la calidad de las aguas dulces y saladas, y su incidencia en los ecosistemas, así como la salud y seguridad en la calidad de vida; ocasionado por el vertimiento de líquidos industriales y comunales; por lo que se proponen elementos de manejo integrado para mitigar dicha problemática en la cuenca hidrográfica de estudio.
