Apuntes para un estudio de las sociedades mutualistas en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba. 1902-1930

Abstract

La presente investigación que lleva como título: Apuntes para un estudio de las sociedades mutualistas en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba. 1902-1930 es de gran actualidad puesto que se adentra en la temática del asociacionismo mutualista a partir de las herramientas que ofrece la sociabilidad, la cual permite realizar un análisis de estas agrupaciones como espacios a través de los cuales se persigue la ayuda mutua y la solidaridad entre todos sus integrantes. De igual manera constituye una necesidad, pues en la historiografía santiaguera sobre el asociacionismo aún quedan muchas aristas por investigar, si bien ha comenzado a desbrozar caminos en los estudios sobre el proceso asociativo, los mismos no reflejan las particularidades de las sociedades mutualistas. En tal sentido se propone realizar la presente investigación que tiene como objetivo: Analizar los rasgos distintivos de las sociedades mutualistas como parte del proceso asociativo que se desarrolló en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba entre 1902 y 1930, para así contribuir al conocimiento del asociacionismo santiaguero y al enriquecimiento de la historia local y regional.

The present research is titled: Notes for a study of mutual societies in the city of Santiago de Cuba. 1902-1930 is of great interest since it delves into the topic of mutual associations from the tools offered sociability, which enables the analysis of these groups as spaces through which it seeks mutual aid and solidarity among all its members. Likewise is a necessity, as in the historiography Santiago on many edges associations remain to be investigated, although it has begun to clear roads in the study of the associative process, they do not reflect the particularities of mutual societies. In this regard it is proposed to carry out the present research aims: To analyze the features of mutual societies as part of the partnership that developed in the city of Santiago de Cuba between 1902 and 1930, thus contributing to the knowledge of associations Santiago and the enrichment of local and regional history.
