Aproximación a la vida y obra del comandante Manuel Jesús de Granda Odio (1874-1952)

Abstract

En los últimos años, las investigaciones históricas sobre la actuación de destacadas personalidades de nuestra historia, ha cobrado auge. Una de estas personalidades, merecedora de un estudio sobre su vida y obra revolucionaria e historiográfica, es sin duda alguna, el comandante del Ejército Libertador Manuel Jesús de Granda Odio. El presente trabajo : Aproximación a la vida y obra del comandante Manuel Jesús de Granda Odio (1874-1952), constituye una aproximación a la labor desarrollada por este patriota, en los diversos escenarios en los que se desenvolvió, destacando el periodo de Tregua Fecunda, la Guerra del 95 y su labor académica e historiográfica durante la República Neocolonial; para ello se contó con el apoyo de fuentes documentales, bibliográficas y publicaciones periódicas teniendo en cuenta el contexto histórico. Desde la lógica de la investigación histórica, el trabajo quedó estructurado en dos capítulos, donde se tratan los elementos biográficos del patriota, asegurando con ello un acercamiento necesario a su persona y entorno familiar, valorándose de igual forma los elementos de su accionar por la independencia y su labor historiográfica. Los elementos constatados durante la investigación facilitaron arribar a un conjunto de conclusiones que permitieron evaluar las principales expresiones de nsu labor revolucionaria, académica e historiográfica, y el correspondiente tributo a la historia de Cuba.

In the last years, the historical investigations on the performance of outstanding personalities of our history, it has charged peak. One of these personalities, worthy of a study on their life and revolutionary work and historiografic, it is without a doubt some, the commandant of the Army Liberator Manuel Jesus of Granda Hate. The present work: Approach to the life and the commandant's work Manuel Jesus of Granda Hate (1874-1952), it constitutes an approach to the work developed by this patriot, in the diverse scenarios in those that was unwrapped, highlighting the period of Fertile Truce, the Guerra the 95 and their academic work and historiografic during the Republic Neocolonial; for he/she had it the support of documental, bibliographical sources and periodic publications keeping in mind the historical context. From the logic of the historical investigation, the work was structured in two chapters, where they are the patriot's biographical elements, assuring with it a necessary approach to its person and family environment, being valued of equal forms the elements of its to work for the independence and its work historiografic. The elements verified during the investigation facilitated to arrive to a group of conclusions that you/they allowed to evaluate the main expressions of their revolutionary, academic work and historiografic, and the corresponding tribute to the history of Cuba.
