dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación aborda la presencia catalana en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba durante los años 1902 y 1933. Constituye un acercamiento al estudio de este grupo étnico en la ciudad oriental, a través del análisis de las formas de inserción en el territorio santiaguero durante este período. Se explica el marco jurídico cubano en torno a la inmigración hispana y dentro de esta la catalana, junto a otros factores que propiciaron su asentamiento en la Isla. De igual forma se abordan las diferentes maneras por la que llegaron a insertarse refiriéndose a tres de ellas, la laboral, la conformación de matrimonios que tuvieron descendencia y por último su trayectoria residencial en la ciudad oriental, todo en el período antes expuesto. Se persigue el enriquecimiento de la historia local santiaguera, demostrando la insuficiente cantidad de trabajos investigativos que se han dedicado al término de inserción en este grupo étnico de la inmigración española, sirviendo como aportación metodológica.es_ES
dc.description.sponsorshipThe present investigation approaches the catalan presence in the city of Santiago of Cuba during years 1902 and 1933.It constitutes an approach to the study of this ethnic group in the eastern city, through the analysis of the forms of insertion in the santiaguero territory during this period. The Cuban legal frame around Hispanic immigration and within this is explained the Catalan, next to other factors that caused their establishment in the Island.Similarly the different ways are approached by which they got to be inserted talking about to three of them, the labor one, the conformation of marriages who had descendants and finally their residential trajectory in the Eastern city, everything in the period before exposed. The enrichment of santiaguera local history is persecuted demonstrating the insufficient amount of investigations works that have been dedicated at the end of insertion in this ethnic group of spanish immigration, serving like methodologic contribution.es_ES
