Abstract

La asignatura Español-Literatura abarca el estudio de las habilidades básicas del proceso comunicativo: leer, escribir, escuchar, y hablar, que se concretan en los componentes funcionales de la clase comunicativa. En la enseñanza preuniversitaria se incorpora, además el estudio sistemático de la literatura con el objetivo de fortalecer las habilidades que necesitará al pasar a la enseñanza universitaria, pero esto no se logra totalmente ya que los estudiantes leen muy poca literatura lo cual incide en la pobreza del vocabulario. Los problemas de léxico y vocabulario, sin pretender que sean nuevos, se plantean hoy desde puntos muy variados y con perspectivas hasta ahora no tenidas en cuenta: los estudios lingüísticos en sus nuevas corrientes estructuralistas y de información, aplicándolo a las traducciones mecanizadas; la enseñanza de las lenguas modernas para racionalizar los estudios y mejor encauzarlos en una vía de eficacia; la enseñanza del lenguaje, de la propia lengua materna, para enriquecer activamente su dominio
