Consideraciones constructivas a tomar en cuenta en las intervenciones de la Calzada Crombet

Abstract

La presente investigación, partió de las definiciones necesarias para una mejor comprensión de los desastres naturales como fenómenos que afectan un gran número de personas de forma inesperada y dejan pérdidas considerables. Así mismo, se comentaron los conceptos de amenaza y vulnerabilidad, factores que determinan el riesgo y su gestión. Partiendo de estos conceptos, se analizaron antecedentes de intervenciones técnicas constructivas en comunidades afectadas por desastres naturales tanto en el contexto nacional como internacional, estableciendo la problemática existente en cuanto al tema. La ciudad de Santiago de Cuba, aun cuando no es escenario de desastres naturales, si es a tomar en consideración sus condiciones de riesgo ante el sismo como principal amenaza. De este modo, se realizaron las consideraciones constructivas a tomar en cuenta en las intervenciones de las viviendas de la Calzada Crombet, partiendo de una evaluación de la vulnerabilidad sísmica. Para la realización de esta tarea, se valoraron metodologías existentes para la evaluación de vulnerabilidad sísmica, así como los estudios de riesgo precedentes en la zona, las características generales del área de estudio y el marco legal existente en cuanto a los desastres en Cuba. Esta evaluación, permitió conocer los principales aspectos técnicos y constructivos que incidieron en mayor medida en la vulnerabilidad de las viviendas intervenidas, y llegar a las consideraciones en el proceso constructivo para un mejor comportamiento sismorresistente de las mismas.
