Selección de tecnologías sostenibles para el tratamiento de aguas residuales en pequeñas comunidades

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo, investigar los procedimientos, criterios y métodos que son utilizados para la selección de las tecnologías de tratamiento de aguas residuales en pequeñas comunidades que permitan escoger alternativas apropiadas y sostenibles, coherentes con las características de la zona a servir; para ello se realizó una amplia revisión bibliográfica utilizando el método de análisis-síntesis de los materiales revisados. Se concluye que generalmente las tecnologías de tratamiento no convencionales o naturales son tecnologías sostenibles aplicables al tratamiento de las aguas residuales generadas en pequeños núcleos poblacionales, utilizándose para su selección métodos sencillos que recomiendan criterios fáciles de determinar en las localidades a servir
