``La identidad racial de las personas de piel blanca en Cuba, su reflejo en la producción teórica entre 1902-1959´´

Abstract

Esta investigación lleva por título ``La identidad racial de las personas de piel blanca en Cuba, su reflejo en la producción teórica entre 1902-1959´´. En él se abordan conceptos como la raza, identidad, identidad racial, representación social, estereotipos que contribuyen a entender cómo, el color de la piel, ha influenciado las relaciones sociales en el contexto cubano. Este estudio se dirige principalmente hacia la producción teórica de la primera mitad del siglo XX en autores representativos como Fernando Ortiz, Lydia Cabrera, Rómulo Lachatañere y Gustavo Urrutia, y a partir de ellos identificar cuáles son los elementos que inciden en la construcción de la identidad racial de las personas de piel blanca reflejados por dichos autores. Es importante el estudio en la actualidad de esta temática, porque la mirada al otro racial, permite comprender este complejo y polémico fenómeno de la racialidad en Cuba, que hasta el momento solo se ha estudiado con profundidad desde la perspectiva de las personas de piel negra.

This investigation takes for title ``The racial identity of people of white skin in Cuba, its reflection in the theoretical production among 1902-1959´´. In him concepts like the race are approached, identity, racial identity, social representation, stereotypes that contribute to understand how, the color of the skin, it has influenced the social relationships in the Cuban context. This study goes mainly toward the theoretical production of the first half of the XX century in representative authors as Fernando Ortiz, Lydia Goatherd, Rómulo Lachatañere and Gustavo Urrutia, and starting from them to identify which they are the elements that impact in the construction of the racial identity of people of white skin reflected by this authors. It is important the study at the present time of this thematic one, because the look to the other one racial, he/she allows to understand this complex and polemic phenomenon of the racialidad in Cuba that has been studied with depth from the perspective of people of black skin until the alone moment.
