Los presupuestos teóricos filosóficos abordados por el Dr. C. José Antonio Escalona Delfino para el estudio del pensamiento de Antonio Maceo

Abstract

El Dr. José Antonio Escalona Delfino, destacada figura de la ciencia santiaguera realizó importantes contribuciones al estudio del pensamiento cubano, entre las personalidades históricas que le motivaron se encuentra Antonio Maceo Grajales, de quién reveló el sustrato filosófico de su pensamiento para demostrar a este patriota como portador de reflexiones teóricas, que lo sitúan como representante del pensamiento revolucionario cubano más radical. Los resultados de toda su investigación histórico-filosófica se hallan en varios artículos publicados en los cuales da a conocer los elementos medulares del pensamiento maceista, y su fundamento ético-humanista, algunas aristas de su ideario político y las premisas socio-filosóficas que nutrieron la formación de su cosmovisión. Estos resultados científicos se distinguen de otros porque revelan la dimensión filosófica del pensamiento maceista utilizando para ello las herramientas teóricas que le brinda el marxismo y que asume como presupuestos teóricos; el fundamento ético humanista, el condicionamiento socio-histórico y el presentismo dialectico, estos son tomados de la mano del profesor universitario para revelar en Maceo un hombre de ideas.
