Adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con VIH/SIDA en el municipio Jaguaní

El VIH/SIDA ha cambiado el curso de la vida y el sueño de millones de personas en el mundo. Uno de los progresos más significativos en el campo del tratamiento de esta infección ha sido el desarrollo de la terapia antirretroviral de gran actividad que previene o retarda la progresión de la enfermedad. La adherencia al tratamiento se considera como un factor fuertemente asociado al éxito o fracaso terapéutico. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y prospectivo con el objetivo de evaluar la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral de los pacientes con VIH/SIDA desde la Farmacia Principal Municipal del municipio Jiguaní, provincia Granma en el período de mayo-septiembre del 2021. Se empleó como instrumento de trabajo la entrevista inicial y la información requerida para la determinación de la adherencia terapéutica y los factores que influyen en la misma, se obtuvo a partir de la aplicación del cuestionario de Martín–Bayarre–Grau. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 86 pacientes. Hubo un predominio del sexo masculino, las edades entre 50-59 años, el nivel de escolaridad secundario, alto consumo de café. El 74,4% de los pacientes presentaron adherencia parcial. Los factores que influyeron significativamente en la adherencia terapéutica de los pacientes fueron la edad, el sexo y el nivel de escolaridad entre los dependientes del paciente y los esquemas terapéuticos entre los relacionados con el régimen terapéutico. One of the most significant advances in the field of treating this infection has been the development of highly active antiretroviral therapy that anticipates or slows the progression of the disease. Adherence to treatment is considered an associated factor associated with therapeutic success or failure. A descriptive and prospective study was carried out with the objective of evaluating adherence to antiretroviral treatment of patients with HIV / AIDS from the Main Municipal Pharmacy of the Jiguaní municipality, Granma province in the period May-September 2021. The initial interview and the information required to determine therapeutic adherence and the factors that influence it was obtained from the application of the Martin-Bayarre-Grau questionnaire. The sample consisted of 86 patients. There was a predominance of the male sex, the ages between 50-59 years, the level of secondary schooling, high consumption of coffee. 74.4% of the patients presented partial adherence. The factors that had a significant influence on the therapeutic adherence of the patients were age, sex, and level of education among the dependents of the patient and the therapeutic regimens among those related to the therapeutic regimen.
