Consumo de morfina en pacientes dispensarizados en una farmacia comunitaria del municipio Holguín, provincia Holguín
Resumen
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal empleando la metodología correspondiente a los Estudios de Utilización de Medicamentos del tipo consumo, con el objetivo de caracterizar el consumo de morfina en la Farmacia Comunitaria Especial de Pueblo Nuevo, municipio Holguín. Provincia Holguín durante el período de marzo a septiembre del 2021. Se revisaron los expedientes de consumo de morfina de 29 pacientes archivados en la farmacia, para extraer datos del paciente y del medicamento. Se realizó el cálculo de unidades consumidas, la dosis por habitantes/día y se determinaron los costos del medicamento y los insumos. Los resultados fueron reflejados en tablas y figuras. Se obtuvo un predominio del sexo masculino para el 55 % de la muestra y de los pacientes con 60 años y más representados por el 72,40 %. Los tipos de cáncer de mayor prevalencia fueron los correspondientes al sistema respiratorio y urinario con 7 pacientes cada uno. La mayor dosis de morfina fue para el tratamiento del dolor por cáncer del sistema digestivo. El medicamento estuvo abastecido durante el período de estudio, siendo la morfina de 20mg la más consumida para un total de 6314 unidades. La dosis por habitante día más alta fue para la morfina de 10 mg con un valor de 5,7. El importe más elevado correspondió a la terapia con la presentación de morfina de 20 mg con $ 2525,6. De forma general el consumo estuvo caracterizado por la morfina ámpula en sus dos presentaciones y los costos fueron asequibles para los pacientes. A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out using the methodology corresponding to the Use of Consumption-type Medicines Studies, with the objective of characterizing the consumption of morphine in the Special Community Pharmacy of Pueblo Nuevo, Holguín municipality. Holguín Province during the period from March to September 2021. The morphine consumption records of 29 patients on file at the pharmacy were reviewed to extract patient and medication data. The calculation of units consumed, the dose per inhabitants / day, and the costs of the medicine and supplies were determined. The results were reflected in tables and figures. A male predominance was obtained for 55% of the sample and 72.40% of patients aged 60 and over represented. The types of cancer with the highest prevalence were those corresponding to the respiratory and urinary systems, with 7 patients each. The highest dose of morphine was for the treatment of digestive system cancer pain. The drug was supplied during the study period, with 20mg morphine being the most consumed for a total of 6314 units. The highest dose per inhabitant day was for morphine 10 mg with a value of 5.7. The highest amount corresponded to the therapy with the presentation of morphine 20 mg with $ 2525.6. In general, consumption was characterized by ampule morphine in its two presentations and the costs were affordable for the patients.
