Caracterización etnobotánica de la Lawsonia inermis L. en el municipio San Antonio del Sur, Guantánamo
Resumen
Se realizó un estudio etnobotánico de la especie Lawsonia inermis L., en dos comunidades del Consejo Popular “San Antonio del Sur”, municipio del mismo nombre, Guantánamo, con el objetivo de caracterizar el uso de la especie, a través de la metodología establecida para estudios etnobotánicos, empleando como instrumento una entrevista semiestructurada, según requisitos TRAMIL. Se calcularon los indicadores etnobotánicos cuantitativos valor de uso y nivel de uso significativo. Se entrevistaron 92 personas, de ellas 58 pertenecen a la Comunidad Oquendo y 34 a San Antonio del Sur. El sexo con mayor predominio en ambas comunidades fue el femenino (54%). Los grupos etarios que prevalecieron fueron los comprendidos entre 61 y 70 años (Oquendo) y 51-70 años (San Antonio del Sur), siendo los jubilados el más representado. Tienen conocimiento de la especie el 100% de los entrevistados y de estos la utilizan 76 (82,61%), con mayor cuantía la comunidad Oquendo. Se informaron un total de ocho usos, siendo el más reportado el de calmar los nervios para ambas comunidades. La parte de la planta más utilizada fue las hojas.El 54,17% de los entrevistados emplean el método de infusión utilizando la planta en estado fresco mayormente. La vía oral resultó la más reportada. El índice de valor de uso obtenido para el Consejo Popular “San Antonio del Sur” fue de 1,02 y 102% de nivel de uso significativo, siendo la comunidad de Oquendo la que mostró tener un mayor conocimiento del uso de la planta. An ethnobotanical study of the Lawsonia inermis L. species was carried out in two communities of the Popular Council "San Antonio del Sur", municipality of the same name, Guantánamo, with the aim of characterizing the use of the species, through the established methodology for ethnobotanical studies, using a semi-structured interview as an instrument, according to TRAMIL requirements. The age groups that prevailed were those between 61 and 70 years (Oquendo) and 51-70 years (San Antonio del Sur), with retirees being the most represented. 100% of those interviewed are aware of the species and 76 (82.61%) use it, with the Oquendo community having a greater amount. A total of eight uses were reported, with the most reported being to calm nerves for both communities. The most used part of the plant was the leaves. 54.17% of the interviewees used the infusion method, using the plant in its fresh state mostly. The oral route was the most reported. The index of value of use obtained for the Popular Council "San Antonio del Sur" was 1.02 and 102% of level of significant use, being the community of Oquendo the one that showed to have a greater knowledge of the use of the plant.
