Proyecto de rehabilitación arquitectónica y cambio de función de la casa del farero del faro de Cabo Cruz, Niquero, Granma

Abstract

La contribución del turismo a la exportación y su papel como fuente de empleo y desarrollo económico, es un factor fundamental para el crecimiento económico de todas las regiones del mundo. El turismo visto como actividad económica, o como propuesta de valorización social de un espacio, siempre mantiene una relación directa con el territorio. Cuba es uno de los principales destinos turísticos del Caribe, y constituye para el crecimiento económico y de generación de empleo del país un factor transcendental. Por lo que en el Plan de Desarrollo hasta el 2030 es considerado un sector estratégico, y como parte de la de la Estrategia de Desarrollo Municipal está priorizado para contribuir al desarrollo territorial. El Faro Vargas, conjunto arquitectónico, compuesto por la casa del farero y el faro que por años ha marcado el desarrollo de Cabo Cruz, sitio rural del municipio Niquero, provincia Granma, con una significación histórica, valores arquitectónicos, sociales y culturales, declarado Monumento Nacional el 30 de diciembre del 1991, es un edificio con muchas potencialidades en el sector turístico. Actualmente la casa del Farero se encuentra abandonada y con un alto grado de deterioro, por lo que se realizará una propuesta de rehabilitación a petición del Ministerio de Turismo para catapultarlo en el mercado turístico de alto estándar. El objetivo del proyecto es realizar una propuesta de rehabilitación a nivel de ideas conceptuales es el reuso del inmueble ya que, se concluyó que está en ruinas y es imposible la recuperación de algunos de sus elementos originales (pisos, carpintería, cubiertas y herrería). Ello refiere la readecuación del edificio para fines distinto de los que fueron diseñados, es decir, se refiere a aquella adaptación en que el cambio se restringe a la función o el uso, sin variar el diseño original del edificio, la reutilización es una forma de sostenibilidad, pues conserva los recursos materiales originales en nuevos ciclos de vida.

The objective of the project is to make a rehabilitation proposal at the level of ideas conceptual is the reuse of the property since it was concluded that it is in ruins and is impossible to recover some of its original elements (floors, carpentry, covers and ironwork).
