The marine contamination for by oil and their derivates have a special significance, it is considered one of the factors that more attacks to the aquatic ecosystems causing affectations to the soil, flora, fauna and the human health, when causing in many cases the rupture of the balance of their natural restoration.
The Bay of Santiago de Cuba is affected by different polluting focuses among those that is the Refinería Hnos Díaz. In this work it was carried out a study of the wastes waters of this industry, for established a hypothesis based on the contamination that can cause these wastes ones that contain hydrocarbons to the bay, as well as the possibility of the use of oil degrader´s microorganisms for its treatment, it was considered the establishment of a group of procedures for the characterization physico - chemestry and microbiological of these waste ones and to know its influence to the being shedded to the receiving body. The
parameters were measured: Dissolved Oxygen, Chemestry Oxygen Demand (COD) and Biochemestry Oxygen Demand (BOD), Cycle of the Nitrogen, pH, Temperature, Electric Conductivity, Solids, Ions phosphate and sulphur, Total and Fecal Coliformes and Microbial Population. The results it was demonstrated that the wastes waters of the Refinería Hnos Díaz doesn't go back on the Norma Cubana of shedding residual and it was proven that the bioestimulatión of the waters of the stabilization lagoon favors the removal 99% of hydrocarbons and 59% of the Chemestry Oxygen Demand under the study conditions.
