dc.description.abstractLa revista Santiago ha constituido un vehículo difusor de diversas temáticas, relacionadas con la historiografía sobre Cuba, América Latina y El Caribe. Desde su fundación recibió en sus páginas la colaboración de intelectuales nacionales y extranjeros cuyos aportes se reflejan en los innumerables trabajos que en sus páginas se publicaron particularmente en el período comprendido entre 1970 y 1979 y tributan al tratamiento historiográfico sobre estas regiones. En este mismo sentido la siguiente investigación está dirigida a El tratamiento historiográfico en la revista Santiago durante la década del 70. El Objetivo General planteado consiste en: Analizar los aportes de la revista Santiago a la Historiografía cubana, latinoamericana y caribeña durante esa década. La misma está estructurada en dos capítulos, de ellos en el primero se aborda el contexto histórico en que se enmarca el nacimiento y desarrollo de la publicación desde el triunfo de la revolución hasta fines de la década del 70 así como las características, particularidades y tendencias por las que transita. El segundo capítulo aborda el tratamiento ofrecido a la historiografía a través de la valoración de los artículos más representativos de las distintas etapas estudiadas, así como el papel desplegado por la revista en función de la divulgación del quehacer científico y cultural del país y especialmente de la región oriental. El aporte esperado de esta investigación radica en precisar la contribución de la revista Santiago a la historiografía cubana, latinoamericana y caribeña, así como a la cultura cubana en general, en el período comprendido entre 1970 - 1979 a partir del análisis de una muestra seleccionada con carácter valorativo lo cual contribuye a la sistematización de los estudios, tanto de esta rama del saber como de la publicación periódica.es_ES
dc.description.sponsorshipThe Santiago magazine has been a vehicle for disseminating various topics related to the historiography of Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean. Since its foundation, it has received in its pages the collaboration of national and foreign intellectuals whose contributions are reflected in the innumerable works that were published in its pages, particularly in the period between 1970 and 1979 and pay tribute to the historiographical treatment of these regions. In this same sense, the following investigation is directed to the historiographical treatment in the Santiago magazine during the 70s. The proposed General Objective consists of: Analyzing the contributions of the Santiago magazine to Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean Historiography during that decade. It is structured in two chapters, of which the first deals with the historical context in which the birth and development of the publication is framed from the triumph of the revolution until the end of the 70s, as well as the characteristics, particularities and trends. through which it passes The second chapter deals with the treatment offered to historiography through the evaluation of the most representative articles of the different stages studied, as well as the role played by the magazine in terms of the dissemination of the scientific and cultural work of the country and especially of the eastern region. The expected contribution of this research lies in specifying the contribution of the Santiago magazine to Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean historiography, as well as to Cuban culture in general, in the period between 1970 - 1979 from the analysis of a selected sample with evaluative character which contributes to the systematization of the studies, both of this branch of knowledge and of the periodical publication.es_ES
