Estudio etnobotánico de la especie phyllantus amarus schumach. & thonn en el consejo popular “reparto caribe”, municipio Guantánamo
Resumen
En este trabajo se realizó un estudio etnobotánico de la especie Phyllanthus amarus Schumach. & Thonn, en la localidad perteneciente a la circunscripción No. 111 del consejo popular “Reparto Caribe”, del municipio Guantánamo de la provincia del mismo nombre. El objetivo del trabajo fue caracterizar del uso etnobotánico de la especie, a través de la metodología establecida para estudios etnobotánicos, empleando como instrumento la entrevista, acompañada de una encuesta diseñada para la investigación, según requisitos TRAMIL. Se calcularon los indicadores etnobotánicos cuantitativos: valor de uso y el nivel de uso significativo. Se entrevistaron 160 personas. El sexo con mayor predominio fue el femenino (61 %). El grupo etáreo más representativo correspondió al comprendido entre 61-70 años, (38,75 %), destacándose los niveles de escolaridad universitarios (43 %) y bachiller (35 %). Mostraron conocimiento sobre la especie 104 personas (65%), haciendo uso de la misma 96 (92,3 %). Los usos más reportados, mostrados por número de citaciones, corresponden para cálculos renales (64), inflamación pélvica (12) y la diabetes mellitus (11). La parte de la planta de mayor uso correspondió a la planta completa, siendo utilizada en estado fresco. La forma de preparación predominante resultó ser la decocción y la vía oral como forma única de administración. El valor de uso y nivel de uso significativo resultaron ser 0.65 y 65 % respectivamente. In this work, was carried out an ethnobotanical study of the species Phyllanthus amarus Schumach. & Thonn, in the locality belonging to the constituency No. 111 of the “Reparto Caribe” popular council, of the Guantánamo municipality of the province of the same name. The objective of the work was to characterize the ethnobotanical use of the species, through the methodology established for ethnobotanical studies, using the interview as an instrument, accompanied by a survey designed for research, according to TRAMIL requirements. The quantitative ethnobotanical indicators were calculated: use value and level of significant use. 160 people were interviewed. The sex with the highest prevalence was female (61%). The most representative age group corresponded to those between 61-70 years old, (38.75%), highlighting the levels of university education (43%) and high school (35%). They showed knowledge about the species 104 people (65%), making use of it 96 (92.3%). The most reported uses, shown by number of citations, correspond to kidney stones (64), pelvic inflammation (12) and diabetes mellitus (11). The part of the plant most used corresponded to the complete plant, being used fresh. The predominant form of preparation turned out to be the decoction and the oral route as the only form of administration. The value in use and level of significant use turned out to be 0.65 and 65% respectively.
