Prácticas sociales en la conservación de las viviendas de la zona de alto valor patrimonial Vista Alegre

Abstract

El Patrimonio Cultural y dentro de este más específicamente el arquitectónico en los últimos tiempos ha presentado una tendencia a mostrar variaciones en su estructura ocasionando la pérdida y alteración de los mismos. Este hecho ligado a la creciente utilización de nuevas prácticas sociales (creación de paladares, casas de renta, talleres particulares, entre otros) que se desarrollan en la zona de alto valor patrimonial Vista Alegre ha conllevado a que este sitio presente una tendencia a cambiar su forma original perdiendo de esta manera los valores patrimoniales que históricamente poseían, dichas variaciones a las que están expuestos están condicionados por el aumento del ingreso económico, desestimando el legado tangible que se ha heredado de las generaciones anteriores. Resulta de vital importancia la preocupación por el cuidado, rescate y preservación de los mismos para mantener esta herencia por el mayor tiempo posible para que futuras generaciones puedan tener la posibilidad de apreciar cómo eran las edificaciones de las épocas anteriores. El reto principal en el contexto actual es integrar mejor la conservación y la valorización del patrimonio dentro de la perspectiva de preservar los valores que se poseen para la posteridad. En este sentido, el presente estudio propone explicar la incidencia de las prácticas sociales en la conservación de las viviendas ubicadas en la zona de alto valor patrimonial Vista Alegre para revelar las relaciones sociales y culturales que se desenvuelven en dicho escenario y resulta novedosa en tanto constituye uno de los resultados del proyecto internacional VLIR P4, (fase I y II), que centra su atención en los estudios del patrimonio cultural en Santiago de Cuba.

The Cultural Heritage and within this more specifically the architectural heritage in In recent times it has presented a tendency to show variations in its structure causing their loss and alteration. This fact linked to the growing use of new social practices (creation of paladares, houses rent, private workshops, among others) that are developed in the high-income area Vista Alegre heritage value has led to this site presenting a tendency to change its original form, thus losing the values assets that they historically possessed, said variations to which they are exposed are conditioned by the increase in economic income, dismissing the tangible legacy that has been inherited from generations previous. Concern for the care, rescue and preservation of them to maintain this heritage for as long as possible possible so that future generations can have the opportunity to appreciate what the buildings were like in previous times. The main challenge in current context is to better integrate the conservation and valorization of heritage within the perspective of preserving the values that are possessed for the posterity. In this sense, the present study proposes to explain the incidence of social practices in the conservation of homes located in the area of high heritage value Vista Alegre to reveal social and cultural relationships that unfold in said scenario and is novel in that it constitutes one of the results of the international project VLIR P4, (phase I and II), which focuses his attention to the studies of cultural heritage in Santiago de Cuba.
