Coralina Las primeras décadas del siglo XX han legado un valioso patrimonio edificado en Cuba y en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba, destacando el eclecticismo y su arquitectura doméstica como excelentes exponentes de este estilo predominante en esta etapa, caracterizado por el empleo de un amplio repertorio de materiales y técnicas.El centro histórico de Santiago de Cuba es un ejemplo de la representatividad de la arquitectura doméstica ecléctica; la ausencia de estudios que definan el comportamiento constructivo de varios de los subsistemas que presenta la vivienda ecléctica del centro histórico de la ciudad, limita que las intervenciones se realicen sobre bases teóricas, esto constituye el problema de la investigación. El conocimiento de las formas originales de construir y el análisis de la problemática actual que presenta la vivienda ecléctica a partir del diagnóstico de las lesiones que la caracteriza conforma una valiosa documentación no solo en el plano teórico, sino por la importancia que tiene en los procesos de organización y control de las intervenciones constructivas, pudiendo servir de guía en la protección de este significativo patrimonio de la ciudad.. La investigación analiza la vivienda ecléctica a través de los estudios de los subsistemas: fachada, cubierta y estructura, la caracterización de sus tipologías constructivas y las lesiones asociadas que presentan es el objetivo general de la investigación. El trabajo expone las bases teóricas, metodológicas y conceptuales que permitieron el análisis de la vivienda ecléctica a partir de su condicionamiento histórico y los antecedentes del tema; teniendo especial importancia la revisión de las fuentes documentales del archivo. Se plantean procedimientos metodológicos y variables que permitieron realizar la caracterización tipológica constructiva de la vivienda ecléctica ubicada en el centro histórico de la ciudad y el estudio de las lesiones partiendo del análisis de sus principales subsistemas, precisando los tipos y tipologías constructivas y sus lesiones asociadas, describiendose todos los comportamientos mediante gráficos e histogramas. Rehabilitación arquitectónica y cambio de uso a casa de abuelos para inmueble #356 calle Corona Rodriguez Frómeta, Alejandro En nuestra ciudad existen obras que por sus características arquitectónicas y su vínculo con pasajes de nuestra historia han adquirido valores, pero a lo largo de los años por diferentes motivos algunas de estas han desaparecido o se encuentran en un nivel alto de deterioro. En esta situación se encuentra el inmueble #356 esquina Mariano Corona, el cual se ubica en el centro histórico urbano de la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba. Este edificio pertenece al estilo ecléctico y a pesar de que ha perdido algunos elementos de valor, todavía conserva gran parte de estos. El objetivo de este proyecto es una propuesta de rehabilitación arquitectónica en el inmueble esquina Mariano Corona #356 entre General Portuondo y Lauro Fuerte hasta el alcance técnico ejecutivo en el primer nivel. Los resultados propuestos bajo un nuevo uso social como casa de abuelos, se obtienen luego de la selección de la variante óptima, y la confección de la información gráfica necesaria para el alcance y contenido de cada nivel del inmueble. De este modo se le da respuesta a la necesidad de realzar sus componentes formales, funcionales y ambientales, dentro de la trama en la que se emplaza el inmueble, aportando sus cualidades positivas a la imagen urbana del paisaje de Santiago de Cuba.; In our city there are works that, due to their architectural characteristics and their link with passages in our history, have acquired values, but over the years for different reasons, some of these have disappeared or are in a high level of deterioration. In this situation is property #356 corner Mariano Corona, which is located in the historic urban center of the city of Santiago de Cuba. This building belongs to the eclectic style and although it has lost some valuable elements, it still preserves many of them. The objective of this project is a proposal for architectural rehabilitation of the property on the corner of Mariano Corona #356 between General Portuondo and Lauro Fuerte up to the executive technical scope at the first level. The proposed results under a new social use as a grandparents' house are obtained after the selection of the optimal variant, and the preparation of the graphic information necessary for the scope and content of each level of the property. In this way, a response is given to the need to enhance its formal, functional and environmental components, within the plot in which the property is located, contributing its positive qualities to the urban image of the landscape of Santiago de Cuba.

Comportamiento de las lesiones y estado actual de las viviendas coloniales en el centro histórico de Santiago de Cuba López Arias, Elsi María Este trabajo investiga la situación actual de las viviendas coloniales santiagueras, las lesiones presentes y su estado técnico, evaluando los elementos componentes y caracterizadores de esta arquitectura. El problema planteado está relacionado con el deterioro constructivo de las viviendas coloniales santiagueras, por cuanto constituyen ejemplares significativos de un modo de hacer en materia constructiva, por lo que el objetivo general se enfocó en la caracterización de las lesiones que con mayor incidencia están asociadas a estas viviendas para determinar el estado técnico-constructivo actual. Se realizaron las consideraciones teórico-conceptuales acerca del objeto de estudio, que demuestran los valores existentes en estas construcciones, las cuales constituyen en la actualidad magníficos edificios en relación al medio y las circunstancias en que fueron erigidos. Se estableció una secuencia para el diagnótico que permitió formular una serie de etapas de análisis que resumen el planteamiento metodológico del proceso de estudio de las viviendas. Se definieron las lesiones que con mayor incidencia influyen en las mismas, destacándose la humedad como el elemento desencadenante de la mayoría de las lesiones se determinaron los estados técnicos de las viviendas, comportándose el mayor número en estado Regular y Malo. De manera específicas se estudiaron las fachadas de las viviendas, su comportamiento en el medio físico en que se enmarcan y las lesiones producto de ello. Se estudiaron las lesiones y los materiales componentes de las mismas, y su relacion con la orientación que tienen las viviendas, la época de construcción y el tipo de fachada; en el estudio se utilizaron métodos estadísticos de análisis de varianza. Siguiendo la misma metodología empleada para las viviendas se determinó su estado técnico, donde predominaron los de Regular y Malo. Finalmente, se definieron las acciones preliminares de intervención a ser aplicadas. Este trabajo demuestra la necesidad de atender el estado actual de estas construcciones, como forma de salvaguardar los valores de estos inmuebles y recuperar el fondo construido.; This work investigates the current situation of colonial houses in Santiago, the present injuries and their technical state, evaluating the component and characterizing elements of this architecture. In a specific way, the facades of the houses, their behavior in the physical environment in which they are framed and the resulting injuries were studied. The lesions and their component materials were studied, and their relationship with the orientation of the dwellings, the time of construction and the type of façade; Statistical methods of analysis of variance were used in the study. Following the same methodology used for the dwellings, their technical condition was determined, where Regular and Poor predominated. Finally, the preliminary intervention actions to be applied were defined.
